The Charterers P&I Club
Our comprehensive charterers’ liability cover and freight demurrage and defence insurance are available to all charterers and traders.
Currently, the Club insures over 360 charterers and 12,500 vessels. Our client pool includes clients from large shipping companies to cargo interests who might only have a requirement for a handful of fixtures per annum.
Backed by Great Lakes, part of the Munich Group we offer a USD 500 million limit with AA- Security.
Transmarine
With a Transmarine Trade Disruption Policy, the shipowner can be compensated for time lost if their ship is involved in an Insured incident which then has a direct impact on their business and ability to trade.
Our portfolio consists of clients of all sizes, from multi-national cargo vessel management companies to inland cruise operators. Our insurance products were developed by seafarers for shipowners and is underwritten by Lloyd’s of Europe and carries an A+ Standard and Poor’s rating.
Aurora
Aurora is a fixed premium facility, managed by MECO Group offering P&I cover for owners of small ships operating domestically, short sea and on inland waterways.
Aurora’s policies provide cover up to USD 500 million and are backed by Lloyd’s A+ security. Legal defence cover is also available together with all the ancillary covers required by owners operating in this market. MECO have an integrated claims department across three global offices.
MECO Marine
MECO Marine provides a range of insurance products to clients engaged in maritime trade and transport.
Contracts for sale and purchase of commodities are more complicated than ever, we provide cover for shippers and receivers for their liability for damage to a ship that they incur under a contract of sale or purchase. The uninsured cargo owner can incur significant loss through damage claims that can cost millions of dollars; MECO Marine can provide guidance, support and Insurance for these losses.
